If you’re the type of person who less fancy buttons on any smartphone, then this Vivo Apex 2019 is for you. The Chinese smartphone maker has finally revealed its latest smartphone concept which is said to be the company’s main attraction for the upcoming Mobile World Congress this February 2019 in Barcelona, Spain.

And, if you think its buttonless attraction is the creme de la creme, the device packs a beast inside and out. Well, enough with these flattery and let’s tackle the key features of the Vivo Apex 2019.

Let’s start things off with the physical display. The Vivo Apex 2019 showcases a curved-surface water-drop glass uni-body with zero openings. Yes, zero! Vivo has wholly removed all physical buttons on the Apex 2019, sporting a sleek and truly FullView design.

The Vivo Apex 2019 adopted the Touch Sense Technology that enables capacitive touch and pressure-sensing feature on the display. The device can easily detect whether the user is pressing the screen (pressure-sensing) and the exact position (capacitive touch) of the touch for added accuracy.

Aside from its sleek and totally responsive display, the Vivo Apex 2019 screen showcases fullscreen fingerprint scanner. With that being said, the user can unlock the screen almost everywhere.

The device replaced the conventional USB ports to a MagPort or magnetic power connector that enables data and charging transfer. This function makes the Apex 2019 more streamlined, and of course, making the body more compact. Regarding its speaker grille, Vivo has replaced it with a Body SoundCasting Technology, making the Vivo Apex 2019 display a speaker via screen vibration function.

Aside from its FullView display and zero buttons and ports design, the Vivo Apex 2019 is 5G capable. The device runs under Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 platform with a booming memory space of 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. The Apex 2019 uses the Duplex PCB Design which is a double-layer motherboard to solve limitation in internal space and increase storage up to 20%.

Delving deep into its 5G capabilities, Vivo announced its effort to free up space requirement to its Apex 2019, making the device ready to all 5G modules. The company has been transparent to its quest in achieving 5G technology standardization.

The Vivo Apex 2019 has a Jovi AI Assistant which was holistically applied to its recent flagships such as the Vivo V11, Vivo X21, and more.

Vivo has yet to announce the release date of its newest smartphone venture. The Chinese smartphone maker will showcase the Apex 2019 at the Mobile World Congress 2019 in February. We’ll keep an eye for more information on this bezel-free display smartphone.
