Trump To Deny Asylum To Illegal Migrants

There have been estimated at around 50,000 people being detained for crossing the U.S.-Mexico border in October, and this has been the most significant number in history. According to the U.S. Border Patrol, the count has doubled in just one year, the highest recorded was in the year 2014 The people who have been wanting to cross the s border are a mixture of single individuals and families with their children, and all are trying to enter the United States. This is a picture of reality that there is something terrible happening on the other side of the border.

President Donald Trump ordered that asylum will not be granted for people who will illegally cross the border. This is to protect residents who live in possible ports of entry like South Texas which is known to be one of the busiest when it comes to illegal crossings. This political move is also in the line of the president’s will to stop the migration of people to the country. Meanwhile, this act is against the law.

The American Civil Liberties Union filed a complaint to legally challenge the president’s decision on denying asylum for migrants who are to cross the U.S. borders illegally. The lawsuit that was filed last Friday was to urge the court to invalidate the actions and orders of the president and its administration on banning asylum to migrants. In law, people who are to enter a country even illegally have the right to claim asylum.

After all, we are all equally-made humans who are supposed to benefit from one another, not the other way around.

The next day, President Donald Trump has completely signed a proclamation in denying asylum to illegal migrants. He said that he only wants people to enter America legally and nothing else. He once said that asylum is just part of the previous administration by Obama. This has also followed a ‘travel ban’ in the country. As the administration is trying to improve immigration rights, there have been compromises on some parts of its regulations and rules.

National security on the borders has been tightening up to the highest level since there are threats of having more people waiting on the other side.
