President Trump And His Insensitive Tweet About California Wildfire

Firefighters and other rescuers are getting alarmed of the situation as the wind is expected to be stronger in the next three days. Because of it, it will cause a fire to spread in other areas, and more damages will be made.

On Saturday, the blaze had calmed down for a moment in the north and south of California. But residents are advised not to make a move that will harm them and stay away as much as possible as fire can blaze up and spread any moment.

While the fire is still ongoing, firefighters and other rescuers are still on the search for survivors or worse, dead bodies. As of today, 23 bodies are already found and fears that number will again grow because of the situation getting worse as time goes by.

The governor of California, Jerry Brown asked President Donald Trump to declare a major disaster to increase the emergency response and help recovery efforts. In that way, they can speed up the rescue and operation they need.

But despite the disaster going on in California, President Donald Trump blamed the forest management for having a massive wildfire. In his tweet the last Saturday, he even made a threat that he will cut out federal aid because of poor forest management. Check out President Donald Trump’s exact tweet below:

“There is no reason for these massive, deadly and costly forest fires in California except that forest management is so poor. Billions of dollars are given each year, with so many lives lost, all because of gross mismanagement of the forests. Remedy now, or no more Fed payments!” – — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump)

Trump even had another tweet saying that “With proper Forest Management, we can stop the devastation constantly going on in California. Get smart!”

Because of his first tweet, leaders of firefighters organization, politicians and even celebrities. President of the International Association of Fire Fighters, Harold Schaitberger reacted on Trump’s tweet saying that his comments are reckless and insulting to the people and firefighters being affected. Celebrities like Katy Perry who is born in California tweeted “This is an absolutely heartless response. There aren’t even politics involved. Just good American families losing their homes as you tweet, evacuating into shelters.”

But after all that insensitive tweets from President Trump, he pays tribute to the people who are affected by the wildfire.

“More than 4,000 are fighting the Camp and Woolsey Fires in California that have burned over 170,000 acres. Our hearts are with those fighting the fires … The destruction is catastrophic. God Bless them all.” – Donald Trump
