The Redmi 5 series will be replaced soon with bigger and better specs but with the same price tags. Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 6 Pro will be released in October, next month! Leaks are already everywhere from photos to specs, and the phone is already available for pre-order online based in India, prices range from 14,000 to 18,000 rupees listed as ‘Expected’ which is around 200 to 240 US Dollars.
The Redmi Note series is quite the ‘bang for the buck’ smartphone, and it has ever since been. The Note 6 Pro doesn’t differ. The newest smartphone has a lot to offer, out of the box it has Android 8.1 Oreo installed, carrying the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636, paired with the Kyro 260 Octa-Core and the Adreno 509 for its CPU and GPU respectively. Has 4 or 6 GB of RAM with 64 GB internal memory while having the option of a memory card supporting up to 256 GB while using the 2nd sim slot.
Cameras are promising, rear ones are dual lenses that can record videos at 2160p @ 30fps and a 20MP front camera paired with a 5MP camera for depth. Connectivity on this phone is excellent since its using a Snapdragon 636 processor; it has Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual-band, Bluetooth 5.0 Low Energy, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, FM radio, and 4G VoLTE.
It has all of the other features that needs be on a 2018 smartphone like the fingerprint scanner on the back which is placed correctly in the center, as well it boasts a 4000 mAh battery for a full day’s use. The phone comes in 4 different colors, Black, Blue, Rose Gold, and Red.
Phones are already in the reviewer’s hands and could look up some ‘unboxing’ and ‘first-look’ videos on YouTube, but would doubt that you could understand them. Will have to wait a little longer for an English speaking reviewer to upload a video on it or wait for Xiaomi to release it which I think is just around the corner.
