The Consumer Product Safety Commission announced Thursday the recall of 191,000 monkey-shaped squeaking teething toys sold at Target due to a choking hazard to children.
Infantino has received seven reports of infants choking or gagging on the monkey’s tail. No injuries have been reported, but the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said consumers should stop using the Go Gaga Squeeze & Teethe CoCo the Monkey toys.
The toys were sold at Target stores from December 2012 through January 2014 for about $13. They have an “Infantino” mark on the back toward the rear with the model number 206-647 marked on the inside of the rear left leg.
The teething toy is manufactured in China and made for newborns and up. It is made of soft orange rubber, measures 4.5 inches tall by 5 inches long.
Consumers are advised to keep the teething toy away from infants and contact Infantino for a replacement toy.
