Science Revealed Who The Best Mario Kart Racer Is, And It’s Not Mario

Science has revealed the best racer in the Mario Kart series, and players call him “Wario.” Although the most famous character in the series is Mario himself, data has discovered that the villain Wario is known to establish better efficiency and racing skills than the rest of the playable contenders.

The next in line is Donkey Kong, another high-speeder in the Mario Kart race, followed by a four-way tie between Baby Mario, Mario, Peach, and Toad.

However, the results of the study do not mention the purportedly “best” racer among the characters in the series, which mostly played by gamers along with Mario. Waluigi, another anti-hero and a friend of Wario, has the physical energy and mental sharpness that the players need to ace up the game, but apparently, his name is not on the best list.

The discovery was formulated by Henry Hinnefeld, who did the analysis of data and graphs and revealed that there are 149,760 potential combinations to consider in the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. In choosing the best player, he used the “Pareto Efficiency,” which distributes stat points across different attributes such as:

Weight, the heaviness of a vehicle used in the race as well as that of the racer which can determine whether they will knock someone out of the way. Speed and Acceleration, the higher the speed, the faster a racer can go. Handling also dictates how sharply a character can turn, drift, or corner another racer. While Traction/Grip emphasizes how a kart can move faster on sand and snow, and slip less on ice.

According to the author, these are the impending variables that players need to consider in choosing what character to play. Although the outcomes are based on his findings alone, Hinnefeld wants to emphasize that other studies may yield different results and this is only one way to explain the attributes possessed by the characters which might help them win the race.

Surprisingly, the overall stats turned out to be Wario, who is also one of the recurring characters in the Mario series. He is an obese, muscular, hot-tempered, and a greedy man. He appears as an anti-hero, and in this game, an ultimate rival of Mario. In Mario Kart, Wario together with his evil comrades commits malevolent acts including pestering Mario’s castle and friends.

As bad as he is portrayed in the series, he often goes out to seek adventures, and with notably high-speed ability during races.¬†Classified as “very heavy” in weight classes; this means that he can operate and choose huge race cars with big turbos (big turbos are often an advantage since it can add speed to the racer’s kart) to win the race. On top of that, one of the main reasons why he is probably the best racer is his tendency to be very cunning, and that includes tricking Mario on many occasions.

However, Nintendo published its data about the most valuable racer in Mario Kart Deluxe based on the character’s speed, acceleration, weight, handling, traction or grip. The chart shows that Koopa Troopa earned the highest average points, followed by Mario Gold. Mario Gold, which is the most playable character in the series, is neither the fastest nor the eminent player. He can be very fast on most of his games, but he’s under “medium weight” so he can’t beat or knock someone out of the way during the race which is very important to eliminate other opponents.

Mario Kart is a series of go-kart-style racing video games created and published by Nintendo as spinoffs from its trademark Super Mario series. The first in the series is called Super Mario Kart which was launched in 1992. It became a phenomenal game played by teens during that time, which later on gave birth to fourteen entries. The latest release is “Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.”

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe” is a racing game for the Nintendo Switch and the first Mario game overall for the console. It was initially introduced in Switch’s announcement video in 2016 but was officially launched on January 2017.¬† The game has additional features such as several new characters and offers more options for battle mode.

Today, the battle mode has been altered significantly. This means that one player cannot unlock other playable characters, level up kart capabilities, and proceed to the next battle without finishing the targeted race.

Currently, there are 48 race courses to finish and a total of 42 playable characters (the largest number thus far in the series) in the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, seven of whom are new characters that can’t be found in Mario Kart 8. It is available in Nintendo Switch and the Switch only.
