PET SEMATARY

Pet Semetary is a horror movie directed by Kevin Kölsch and Dennis Widmyer and written by Jeff Buhler, from a screen story by Matt Greenberg. The casts of this Stephen King adaptation movie includes Jason Clarke, Amy Seimetz, and John Lithgow.

The story that is based on Stephen King’s book with the same title follows Dr. Louis Creed (Jason Clarke), who, after relocating with his wife Rachel (Amy Seimetz) and their two young children from Boston to rural Maine, discovers a mysterious burial ground hidden deep in the woods near the family’s new home. When tragedy strikes, Louis turns to his unusual neighbor, Jud Crandall (John Lithgow), setting off a dangerous chain reaction that unleashes an unfathomable evil with horrific consequences. The film is scheduled for release in the United States on April 5, 2019, by Paramount Pictures. It received positive reviews from critics, with many calling it one of the best Stephen King adaptations.

SHAZAM!

Shazam! is a superhero film based on the DC Comics character of the same name. It is the seventh installment in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU). Directed by David F. Sandberg from a screenplay by Henry Gayden, and a story by Gayden and Darren Lemke, the film stars Asher Angel as Billy Batson, a teenage boy who can transform into an adult superhero, played by Zachary Levi. Mark Strong, Jack Dylan Grazer, and Djimon Hounsou also star.

The comedic superhero film follows the life of a 14-year-old orphan Billy Batson as he moves with the Vazquez family and their other five foster kids. The wizard gives him the power to transform into a godlike adult superhero by uttering the word “Shazam!”

Shazam! is scheduled for release in the United States on April 5, 2019.

HIGH LIFE

Release Date: April 12, 2019

High Life is a science fiction film written and directed by French director Claire Denis with Robert Pattinson and Juliette Binoche in the lead roles. The film revolves around a group of criminals who were tricked to believing that they are going to be free if they complete a mission to travel on a spaceship to a black hole find an alternate energy source while being sexually experimented on by the scientists on board.

LITTLE

Genre: Fantasy / Comedy
Release Date: April 12, 2019

A comedy-fantasy movie, Little is a story of a ruthless tech mogul (Regina Hall) who received a chance to get back to her life when she was younger (Marsai Martin) at a point in her life when the pressures of adulthood become too much for her to bear after a girl she offended wishes she was little. Jordan receives help from her overworked assistant, April (Issa Rae), to find a way to revert to normal.

Little is an upcoming American fantasy comedy film co-written and directed by Tina Golden, scheduled to be released on April 12.

AVENGERS: ENDGAME (April 24)

Probably the most awaited movie in this list, Avengers: Endgame has become a talk of the town since it was first announced. It is the direct sequel to 2018’s Avengers: Infinity War, a sequel to 2012’s Marvel’s The Avengers and 2015’s Avengers: Age of Ultron, and the 22nd film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo with a screenplay by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely , the film features an ensemble cast including Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Paul Rudd, Brie Larson, Karen Gillan, Danai Gurira, Bradley Cooper, and Josh Brolin.

In the film, the surviving members of the Avengers and their allies work to reverse the damage caused by Thanos in Infinity War. The film is scheduled for release in the United States on April 26, 2019, in IMAX and 3D.
