Olympus New Camera OM-D E-M1X Finally Revealed!

Olympus OM-D E-M1X

Olympus finally unveils their newest camera, the OM-D E-M1X. Weeks before their official launch, Olympus has been giving hints and some teasers on their latest product. But now, it has come to grace our eyes with sparkles and Olympus is very proud to introduce the OM-D E-M1X to you, and here’s why.

OM-D E-M1X is the type of camera that professional photographers are waiting for. With its lighter weight alone and APS-C mirrorless compared to SLR that is used in their profession, they will never go wrong in purchasing this fantastic device! Although it is only 2 pounds different compared to other cameras, it is still a big deal for users as they do not need to bring a lot of stuff with them because of its mirrorless feature!

Aside from those spectacular features, OM-D E-M1X has a 20.4mp sensor, a two TruePic VIII image processors that allow the camera to start almost at once, and at the same time, gives power to the new features of the camera. OM-D E-M1X also has a vertical grip for convenience purposes like changing from portrait to landscape when taking a picture.

Having 7 stops of stabilization in a camera is a significant advantage for photographers because even on a 5.5 distance, the quality is still impressive. Its autofocus has a 121-point autofocus system and has a back up of up to 60 fps high-speed continuous shooting with autofocus and automatic exposure locked, and up to 18 fps continuous shooting with AF/AE enabled. Another plus superb feature for the camera is its extra room extension for additional battery! How cool is that!

According to Olympus, OM-D E-M1X has a similarity with their OM-D E-M1 Mark II. But even though they have the said similarity, for sure, they also have their strength of features that make each of them unique. With that, Olympus is still planning to sell OM-D E-M1 Mark II alongside their upcoming OM-D E-M1X. While OM-D E-M1 Mark II mode only grabs 14 frames buffered, now the new OM-D E-M1X has more than doubled it up to 35 frames. Without ending its great features, they have also improved the thermal dissipation of the camera to avoid overheating.

Olympus’ OM-D E-M1X is expected to be released in the market by the end of February. The price of the new camera will be around $3,000 or AU$4,500 for the body.

There are lots of compliments to say for the new OM-D E-M1X. But we will leave everything for you to find out and experience its greatness and power. So go grab yours soon!

Here’s Your First Look At The Leaked Leica Q2

Leaked: New Leica Q2

The advent of photography has changed the world forever. Not only that people can document the events that happened, but it has also given people the ability to see the world differently in the eyes of other people.

The camera, as we know it, has had a long way ever since. Gone were the days when we need an entire studio to take the perfect snapshots, and so are the days when polaroids are the only ways we can store good memories.

The digital age has seen so many versions of cameras throughout its peak years. We have seen the rise of digital cameras and DSLRs, as well as, the popularity of smartphone cameras. Most of these are usually a fad – but one thing is for sure, cameras are forever, and people will always find a way to capture every moment of their lives.

Leica, a German camera company, has been in the business since 1914. It is a widely known camera brand to have leveraged the inherent need of people to memorialize wonderful memories. It has been nearly four years since Leica has released its latest product, the Original Leica Q, and now it is heavily rumored to release its successor, the Leica Q2.

However, ahead it’s rumored release on March 6, details of the new camera has been leaked, courtesy of Nokishita.

By looking at the leaked pictures of Leica Q2, you will see that it has remained largely the same design as the original Leica Q, with only minimal cosmetic change including the addition of the new Q2 logo. That is if the leaked photos turned out to be true.

The leaked Leica Q2 product photos also promise a one-of-a-kind camera feature; weatherproofing of some sort. This is an assumed feature based on the water-soaked Leica Q2 in the leaked photos.

According to Leica Rumors, the more significant step-up for the Leica Q2 from Q will happen internally. “[Q2 will be released] with a massive jump in resolution from 24 megapixels to a 47-megapixel sensor, along with 4K video support, although that’s harder to confirm from a handful of leaked pictures.”

“Considering that the Q was a pretty great camera as Leica cameras go, merging the build quality, design, and photography chops that the company is known for with more modern features like autofocus and Wi-Fi connectivity, it’s probably a good thing Leica isn’t messing with the formula too much.” they wrote. /apr

Beginner Tips On Food Photography

How to master flat lay Food Photography

Photography is one of the best ways to express art in images — their different styles on how people apply their skills in photography. Usually, people who are professional at this do have their expensive gadgets and cameras for their art. It can sound limited for most, but in today’s technology, we can already have access to mobile photography that is handier and convenient for everyone. Through our gadgets and phone cameras, we can do photography on our level anytime and anywhere.

One of the most common objects to photograph by an ordinary person is food. This has been a “ritual” for most people nowadays—to take photos of their food before eating. And the best place to show-off food photography is thru social media. We can easily find different pictures of food on Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, and Facebook, some are great, and some are just your usual food photos.

There are secrets to getting the best photos of your meals especially when they are in large scales. Through flat lays people get a better view of their food in a very artistic look. Although it is a challenge, it is the most beautiful approach to food photography.

Meanwhile for beginners, doing flat lays is difficult. Hence, here we offer some tips for you to master flat lay photography at the comfort of your home.

For professionals, they have the privilege to take photos in studios. Meanwhile, with people like you who are doing food photography for leisure, controlling your camera settings is the first thing to remember.

You may acquire the most expensive cameras but not knowing the preferred settings would still not not guarantee a better output. There are camera settings that can give you a more extensive field depth so you can capture flat lays with sharper detail.

If you have the opportunity to select a better lens, then you are doing it right. It is the most practical tip in acquiring a good camera. Accordingly, if you shoot with a 35mm camera, you should most likely also use a 35mm lens to get a good shot without distortion at the edges of the image. It will also allow you to capture on a bigger scale.

Another thing to consider when taking photos is your lighting. Professionals and even non-pros will tell you that lighting is the key to food photography—or any other reproduction. For beginners, using a soft light is better although food photography can be done in different lightings. And, dim lighting is one of the easiest to play with.

Lastly, know your style! Each one of us has different styles but having a good taste (visually) will give your flat lay and food photography a delicious outcome!

Several Children Found in Plaza Towers Elementary School After Oklahoma Tornado

Where is Moore, Oklahoma Map

The tornado that slammed into Moore, Oklahoma was said to be almost a mile wide in it’s peak when it was moving across town. In the tornado’s path was Plaza Towers Elementary School where children were huddling in hallways to protect themselves from the sheer power of the tornado.

It was just reported by the AP at 5:52pm CST that, “Several children pulled out of rubble alive at Plaza Towers Elementary School in Moore, OK.”

Child Pulled From Rubble In Elementary School in Moore, OK

Not long after the information of a few children being pulled out of the rubble of the elementary school in Oklahoma a picture was released by the Associated Press of a young girl being held as she was lifted out of debris from the school. The girl is one of the few survivors that have been found from the school.

Reports from WTVR and KFOR say that children are still trapped inside the school where the cinder block walls collapsed from the strength of the tornado. A report from KFOR said that a teacher had laid on top of children to keep them safe and they all survived. Just 12 minutes ago KFOR-TV reported that, “24 victims are assumed to be in the rubble of the Plaza Towers Elementary school.” About an hour ago the sheer terror that the children had to endure was revealed with information from KFOR that said, “Students who were in Plaza Towers Elementary tell KFOR’s Jesse Wells that they were hugging and clinging to the walls of their school as the tornado passed over.”

Just as everyone else we’re all waiting for more numbers of survivors to come out of the rubble of the elementary school. Some disappointing information came out of KFOR about 16 minutes ago saying that, “The effort at the elementary school is now a recovery mission and not a search and resuce effort, according to KFOR’s Lance West.” For more inforomation from KFOR and live updates visit their real-time update page.
