Chris Evans Says Goodbye To Captain America!

The actor tweeted this announcement and said his final goodbye after the last shooting day on Avengers 4.

“Officially wrapped on Avengers 4. It was an emotional day, to say the least. Playing this role over the last eight years has been an honor. To everyone in front of the camera, behind the camera, and in the audience, thank you for the memories! Eternally grateful,” Chris Evans said in his Twitter account.

It has been bittersweet for his fans around the world including Hollywood stars who replied to his tweet saying that they too feel sad about it.

Dwayne Johnson also tweeted, “What a run you had, brother. Congrats on breathing life into such an iconic character. Keep on keepin’ on.”

Chris Evans born June 13, 1981, is an American actor who is known to have played the superhero role in Marvel comics. He first played Steve Rogers aka Captain America in 2011’s Captain America: The First Avenger; The Avengers (2012), Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014), Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015), Captain America: Civil War (2016), and Avengers: Infinity War (2018).

Although these have not been his first superhero role, Evans also played Fantastic Four (2005) as the Human Torch Johnny Storm and its sequel, Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007) and other roles in the comic life which includes Lucas Lee in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World in 2010.

It has been an amazing eight years for Chris Evans as Captain America bringing the image of a superhero to come to life with his excellent talent. He said in an interview with the New York Times that he “had no plans to return to the role” after the fourth Avengers which will be open in May 2019.

This might be one of the ultimate ‘spoilers’ people don’t want to hear. Having all these around the internet today, this is something no one can undo but accept this sad reality.
Fans may only speculate as to what the actor would do next. Although all of us will surely miss our favorite superhero, we still wish him well on his new endeavor.
