Die hard gamers across the United States are waiting to get their hands on the next generation PlayStation 4 console to hit the market tonight at 12:01am. On November 17th, 2006 the PS3 garnered very long lines and even some crazy antics from people to get new Playstations. This year has definitely produced some long lines but there are signs the demand is mixed across the country.
This time around people are waiting in lines on November 14th, 2013 for the official launch day of the PS4 by Sony on November 15th, 2013 at Midnight. Now social media plays into being able to see lines around the US of people camping out to get the PS4. Surprising enough there are some pictures that show really small lines or almost no people at all in line.
It’s possible that this year if you really want a new PlayStation you might still have a chance to get one. While there are some pictures being shared on Twitter of really long lines, there are also some pictures of lines that are extremely short for PS4s this year. There are a couple GameStop lines that have only about 1 person in them. We’ll list a random assortment of pictures that we’ve seen shared on Twitter of people showing the PlayStation lines at places like GameStop, Target, Wal-Mart and Best Buy.
UPDATE: After the last few hours of wait time the lines really started to grow quickly from all the pictures shared around the US. Most lines for the PS4 are at least 20 – 30 people. Most stores are reporting they have anywhere from 3 PS4’s in stock up to 20 PS4’s in stock.
