It’s called the Quadriginoctuple Frap that made world history as the most expensive Starbucks drink on February 9, but wait, it’ll cost you $47.30.
Beau Chevassus ordered what may be the most expensive Starbucks drink ever in history. Previous record was priced at $23.60 when Logan Warren of Geek on Call ordered a “Java Chip Frappuccino in a Trenta cup, 16 shots of espresso, a shot of soy milk, caramel flavoring, banana puree, strawberry puree, vanilla beans, Matcha powder, protein powder, and a drizzle of caramel and mocha,” in 2012.
Beau Chevassus came armed with his very own 52-ounce coffee mug, which saves his 10 cents, to his local Starbucks in Enumclaw, Washington.
There, he proceeded to order 48 shots in a venti mocha frappuccino with soy mocha drizzle, matcha powder, protein powder, caramel brûlée topping, strawberries, two bananas, caramel drizzle frappuccino chips and vanilla bean.
“I did it for fun, for a bit of entertainment and to see if it is at all possible. I did a lot, a lot of research on it,” Beau Chevassus told the Daily News. “Scouring all over YouTube and Google. I could not find anything really above 23 dollars. I was surprised how cool the Starbucks employees were. They seemed almost more interested in trying to set the record than I was.”
Hold on, it gets better, since it was Chevassus’ 27th birthday, he didn’t even have to pay for it. Starbucks picked up the tab instead. What a score. “Although technically, I didn’t give them money, it’s still the most expensive drink,” he added.
Chevassus didn’t drink it all in one day either. It took him a few days to finish it. “It was so sweet, it made my gums hurt,” he said.
