Victoria’s Secret Model Constance Jablonski Facing $3.3 Million Lawsuit

Marilyn Management Lawuit DNA Model

Victoria’s Secret Angel model, Constance Jablonski is facing a lawsuit after she violated her three-year contract with the Marilyn Model Management agency, which is set to expire in September 2014. She left her contract to work for a rival modeling company, DNA Model Management.

The 21-year-old French supermodel is facing a lawsuit of $3.3 million in damages and an injunction banning DNA from representing Jablonski, who serves as the face of Estée Lauder in its ads, reports NY Daily News. DNA Model Management is being accused of poaching the 21-year-old model.

Marilyn Model Management said in a public statement:

“DNA is unlawfully attempting to seize the coveted relationships that Marilyn has created and fostered for Jablonski. DNA’s wrongful conduct is for the purpose of destabilizing Marilyn’s business, and causing irreparable damage to its image (and) reputation.”

The Marilyn Model Management is taking the credit for turning Constance Jablonski into an international star. She is listed on the Top 50 Models list which tripling her earnings from 2009 to 2012.

As well as booking campaigns with Givenchy, Burberry, Dior and Calvin Klein, she was also one of the youngest models to ever sign a multi-million-dollar cosmetics contract with Estée Lauder.

Jablonski’s attorney, Bennett Krasner, has publicly accused her former agency, Marilyn Model of “erroneous advice and counsel, including failure on several occasions to collect payment on jobs the model completed, while neglecting its best efforts to book jobs for Miss Jablonski,” states Daily Mail.

He explained to the New York Post that “at the beginning of her career, she loved working with Marilyn. Unfortunately, all of the people she worked with closely have left. She loves her new agency. It’s very supportive.”

Constance Jablonski tweeted “With a New Year comes new beginnings. After my bookers, many of those I began with at Marilyn and my dearest Marilyn Gaultier left the… agency this past year, I decided to move on to DNA.”

Hoping to help justify breaking her contract, she went on to say, “I’m very excited with the move and I hope you are too!! Wishing all my friends from…. Marilyn all the best with their new beginnings. Thank you to all of you followers and fans, for always supporting me!!”

The French model first began her career with the Marilyn Model Management agency in 2008, and in 2011, after making her first appearance in the Victoria’s Secret runway show, she signed an exclusive 3-year contract with the agency that expires in September 2014.

Jablonski has modeled for Calvin Klein, Dior and Estée Lauder.
