On Monday night during a Texas Rangers and San Diego Padres game a case of the babbles hit the airwaves. Dave Barnett is well known for being an announcer for the Ranger games and has been pretty much flawless in his play by play analysis. Fans sat stunned and took to Twitter, Facebook and more wondering what was going on with Mr. Barnett.

As you can see in the video below Mr. Barnett started falling into the reporter gibberish trap when he mentioned one of the bases was 5th base when he said, the “Go ahead run was at 5th.” The next pieces were referencing Mike Adams, a Texas Ranger pitcher and mentioned a “botched robbery” and “henchman.”

The full transcript of what Dave Barnett said was listed at ESPN Dallas / Forth Worth as, “A 2-1 game, the tying run at second on a leadoff single by Chase Headley,” Barnett said on the telecast. “The go-ahead run … is at fifth, on what Adams is insisting on calling a botched robbery. What actually happened was his henchman took a piece literally out of …”

Mr. Barnett did not remain on air after this gibberish that he didn’t say on purpose. Dave Barnett is 54 years old and many were worried that he had a stroke on air. However, after a series of tests and analysis it was announced that Mr. Barnett was suffering from migraines. Mr. Barnett will being missing 2 games to get further analysis on his health according to Yahoo.

This isn’t the first time that reporters or announcers have been seen on air and suddenly breaking into nonsense that trails off into what never seems to make sense. There have been some popular episodes of this and we’ll list them below in video format. Most of the cases below have been blamed on migraines as well. There are conspiracy theorists that suggest the government is using microwave mind control to effect brainwaves or that Planet X is effecting people’s neural-processes.

Tests were done on the BBC which showed transcranial magnetic stimulation in action and changing the way the brain can behave like speaking, seeing and smelling. What do you think has caused all the reporters to break down on live TV into a gibberish babble?
