Christopher Piantedosi stabbed his wife, Kristen Pulisciano to death in front of their two children on May 3, 2012 has now turned himself into police.

Neighbors said the couple’s children ran out of the house, screaming that their mother had been killed. Their daughter and 20-year-old son were crying together on the lawn.

When police responded to 23 Forbes Ave. in Burlington, Massachusetts on Thursday night at 6:45 p.m, 38-year-old Kristen Pulisciano was found dead with multiple stab wounds.

Police issued a statement saying Christopher Piantedosi was considered to be armed and dangerous and was thought to be driving a brown Honda Civic with Massachusetts license plate 581MC8. A warrant out for his arrest was issued for one count of murder.

Investigators said they found his cell phone Friday morning in a dumpster behind a Jenny Craig weight loss center.

Christopher Piantedosi, 39-years old was found lying in the grass outside Weston State Police Barracks earlier today. When he was approached by the police officers, he told them he had taken something but they recognised him and took him into custody.

Middlesex District Attorney Gerry Leone said at an afternoon press conference, “We allege that the defendant brutally and fatally stabbed the victim, a loving mother of two, inside her home. We intend to hold him fully accountable for this unspeakable violence.”

This isn’t Christopher Piantedosi first interaction with police. Last year, he made the news in New Hampshire as the ‘remorseful robber’ after he showed up at a woman’s door to return cash and a GPS he had stolen from her at a New Hampshire grocery store. He allegedly wrote a letter saying “I’m sorry” and that it was a sincere apology and there was no excuse. He signed the note “stupid.”
