Deep Earth Bunker owner Scott Bales in Dallas Preps Doomsday Bunkers

Deep Earth BunkersThe Mayans have warned us and other prophecies have laid out some scenarios that some just can’t seem to disagree with. With solar flares and solar storms bombarding our Earth and earthquakes, natural disasters and global warming becoming more prominent, some people just can’t seem to disagree. The Doomsday Bunker business is booming and Scott Bales, the owner of Deep Earth Bunker is feeding that desire.

You have probably never seen a fully stocked and ready bunker until you’ve watched the Discovery Channel special on Doomsday Bunkers which airs at 10:00pm. This last weeks special seemed to really ignite some interest in how much a doomsday bunker costs and what it takes to get one installed. If you’re still pondering what it takes to get your own Doomsday Bunker in preparation of 2012 end of the world scenarios, Mr. Bales in Dallas, Texas just may have the answer.

What can you expect to get in a bunker that is prepped for the end of the world? Apparently these bunkers have moved beyond the old ways of a reinforced steel container underground with freeze-dried food, water supplies and other necessities. Instead, these end of the world bunkers are prepped with class, style and luxury as well as long as you have a blank check or a solid plan.

The Deep Earth Bunker business in Dallas Texas can provide bunkers that have specific filters for chemical and biological attacks or problems in the outside atmosphere. There are extremely massive water storage tanks that can be integrated into the builds of these Earth Bunkers installed on your land. Security systems seem to be a no brainer fending off zombies, hungry humans or other problems from the outside world. Nuclear and air system filters can also be included at a cost.

With all that said, a bunker sounds like a lonely, cold and dark place, right? Well, you might want to think again, these days a deep earth bunker can include luxuries in life like granite counter tops, wood floors, bathrooms with high end fixtures and luxury accommodations, kitchens with custom options and full cooking arrangements and more. Essentially, if you like luxury hotels and you have a stash of money you might be able to furnish, build and construct the ultimate underground bunker that anyone can dream of.

No matter what kind of bunker you decide to build you are still going to be in need of some defense applications. It seems that Scott Bales has that all planned out too. You can get things like flame throwers, tsunami pods and safety features like hand rails. If you’re looking to figure out what you need, who will get it done right and just what you should be dreaming about this Discovery Channel Doomsday Bunkers special and info-laden piece is something you have to check out.

NEW YORK (CNNMoney) — A devastating earthquake strikes Japan. A massive tsunami kills thousands. Fears of a nuclear meltdown run rampant. Bloodshed and violence escalate in Libya.Northwest Shelter Systems, which offers shelters ranging in price from $200,000 to $20 million, has seen sales surge 70% since the uprisings in the Middle East, with the Japanese earthquake only spurring further interest. In hard numbers, that’s 12 shelters already booked when the company normally sells four shelters per year.

“Sales have gone through the roof, to the point where we are having trouble keeping up,” said Northwest Shelter Systems owner Kevin Thompson., which sells portable shelters, bomb shelters and underground bunkers, has seen inquiries soar 400% since the Japanese earthquake. So far sales of its $9,500 nuclear biological chemical shelter tents are at an all-time high — with four sold in California last week, compared to about one a month normally.

Hardened Structures said inquiries have shot up about 20% since the earthquake — particularly for its apocalyptic 2012 shelters, radiation-protection tents, and nuclear, biological and chemical (NBC) air filters.

  1. put your pyramid dome over the main entrance for added security or even over the generator for anti-theft with some added air holes, or anything else that needs to be protected.

do ya’ll offer any radiation reduction upgrades for your bunkers??

  4. HAARP orignaly was built for controleing the wether for like if an country bad an drought they will actvate it to make it rain but when it was compleated the miltary took it over and use it as an new wepon they thought it can be used as an wepon

  5. youll think this underground stuff is new? the gov. had a nice place in va.till someone found out.also near hou tx nasa has a bug out place for key people,i think at the time
15 min by air underground site maybe still there.

  6. well been looking at this man’s website, and he mentions that the facility where these bunkers are built is under 24/7 ARMED GUARD security. THIS I FIND TO BE PARANOIA on a large level.
BACK STORY: I have several design engineering degrees, with steel fabrication degrees as well as working in this field.
NOW on to his design FAULTS:
    1) His so called tsunami ball:

    a) the first major flaw is that the tsunami ball DOES NOT have any type of emergency beacon, as used in coast guard approved life vessels
    b) second flaw: is that this survival tool is that the seating is rigid, where passengers in a RIGID setting that have medical problems would TRULY survive. hum did his alleged design teams (55 ENGINEERS on staff) ever think that a rigid seating system WOULD NOT hurt them, where as using a FREE FLOATING system much as a gyroscope where the survivors would rotate within the ball as the ball moves
    c) another flaw is that there is NO emergency radio equipment in this ball, so that any survivor could make contact with FEMA, C.G. etc.
    d) Lastly there needs to be a exterior floatation system (much like a house boat) that would be small but still allow stability

any comments on these upgrades you may contact me at rabbi.josiah@gmaildotcom

    • i agree with the gyro seating and if they need additional flotation put an outer shell on it and fill it with great stuff foam sealant along with spraying a rubberized coating on it in case it floats in to a power line that is not off the grid yet. along with air supply since it is air and water sealed and a one way valve so you don,t asphicsiate your self

    • You must have a degree in afro-engineering. Nothing you mention is an engineering design flaw. Typical so called engineer with no common sense.

  7. Goverment should save all people’s lives so give free for bunker. It too expensive to buy. Lot/of poor people should have for free too. Goverment just too greedy!

    • You are part of the group that lacks the ” get-up” to get off your A$$ ad provide for yourself, always looking for someone else to do it for you.
You are a drag on society.

  9. like the idea of safe rooms if you could sell pre fab parts it would save lives.

like a ceder chest of years ago better than bath tub.

    • Not a big fan of Walmart but seen these high impact plastic container that could resist impact and you could put an locking device on it. You could use that for your sealed food. Weapons I still would store in approved safe.

  10. good show leaves a lot out,go back to the 50-60 they had good ideas.youneed a crank

on the filter, you never show how to run lites or cook .did you ever tell the people

not to clear off acre of land for shelter like the one that filled with water at bottom of hill

side.also on your last show the (ball) good but maybe you need a couple of emer.

panels to take off if you are up side down .on the coast also for hurricanes maybe

a smaller one.if i had the money like some of these people got ,i would have a big

trench put trees around then just drive my big (bx) and cover it. up to that point

looks like a hole nothing more. for air intake use a fake tree that has a lot of holes

in it. i am just going to use a trash can if i can come up with a large one.

I love the concepts on this program … your tsunami ball is a great idea, i would like to offer a few suggestions for upgrades.

    1) cover the outside of the structure with rhyex
    a) this would allow for extra protection from inpacts

    2) teather the ball !
    a) you could have a 2 to 3 hundred foot cable on a two point harness that would keep the ball local.
    b) a small electronic solenoid could release the ball if it were to become endangered.

Again I love the concept of you products and hope to be helpfull in any way.

Good evening, my name is Michael Bautochka III and I just got the chance to watch a few of your shows and I find them quit interesting. I have many questions and a super idea I would like to pitch to you as an needed survival addition to your exsisting models and ideas. I believe my idea is a no brainer and would be a super upgrade to your existing models in order to aid in essential survival. I would like and appreciate as business man to business man, a signed dicloser statement as to you would not take this idea and use it for your advantage and profit. I would like to create a position in a company such as yours that would fall into my knowledge and expertise and create more interest and customer satisfaction, peice of mind, and not to mention the most important, survival. Thank you very much for your time and I hope you may consider what I believe these bunkers need and customers would be willing to pay for in each bunker do to the no brainer of an idea. May be you offer it or even thought of it, but I have not seen what each could use and need. I look forward to hearing from you. Have a great safe day.

Thank you and have a good night,
    Michael Bautochka III

  13. has any one noticed the severe weather tornados are happening its not even spring yet HELLO! the only you survive is under ground for those who think its ajoke wait until your home gets torn apart and then you all will be crying for a bukerOH MY HOUSE DIDN;T HAVE ANY COVERAGE NOW WHAT?

I noticed that the outer bunker door lies flat on the ground. What if a large tree fell on it or if the people left outside put a ton of rocks on top or parked a large tractor on it there would be no way out and you would be entombed in your bunker. Is there a back up plan so you would no become trapped inside with no way out ( which for me is far worse then the end of the world)

    • They have another hidden escape hatch. It wouldn’t be impossible to get into the main hatch if you had time and tools. The thing I don’t like is that the stairs go down with walls on all sides. My fear would be that water could be pumped in there. or worse, gasoline! Hope they are completely water tight.
I would want one built into a hill with the stairs going down the hill to a blast door. It’s much easier to defend from above, even in a stairwell. You could throw things down on them like molotov cocktails made from alcahol.
I would want a way to monitor the outside from the inside too…

    • GENE LEIGH | March 25, 2012 at 4:40 pm |

      Good call, Cheryl Greenwood!!!

I watched the show, covering three episodes, for the first time last night. Impressive products but I remain amazed that the issue of EXIT THROUGH A BLOCKED OUTWARD SWINGING DOOR appears to be ignored. Exit through a secondary hatch was alluded to but presumably that door would also have an outward swinging door. Debris goes where the Devil sends it during a disaster and chances are large and heavy parts of it will be planted on top of or against your shelter door. Your pissed off neighbor, singed by your flame throwing hand rail, may spend his remaining time on earth piling sand on your shelter door with an entrenching tool while giving the finger to your all-weather, day / night digital periscope.

Even if the door opens inward, as it properly should, you better have hydraulic hand jacks, come-alongs including an anchor point, cutting, digging and other extraction tools so you can burrow out of what nature or the neighbors have sent your way.

I’m sure Scott and his crew are great guys but failing to address this no-brainer issue of after-event escape at best creates large, extremely expensive coffins and at worst provides family friendly torture chambers for you to watch and possibly assist your loved ones as they slowly die.

Please pass this to Scott & crew. Their website is not comment friendly.

I saw that the door to the entrance to the bunkers lie flat. What if someone on the outside put a ton of rocks on top or parked a large tractor on top , you would be entombed in your bunker with no way out. Is there a back up plan so people could get out of the bunker or are they just trapped ( which to me is a worse thought then the end of the world).

    • The bunkers have more than one way in and out. They dont advertise it because you dont want everyone knowing how to get into your bunker.

  16. I’d just like to have a nice size storm shelter , to ride out the tornado’s and severe weather .

some folks claim fiberglass shelters are better. other say metal or concrete shelter…. all have a shelf life of x number of years under ground ;any testing on the longevity of these shelters ? which last longer with structal framing intact to provide safety for the people inside.

    • I was thinking the same. We built a unground poured 16 in .of concrete. Water tight . Its the air vent that im not happy with.. Some of these bunkers have a built in vent that to me is N.G. We ran a vent to the woods n up a tree 35 ft. Im still not happy and thinking of making our own air as a back up. This is not going to work because if we get floods -all the bunkers are not going to work. I did it my self and only cost me $5000. We been buying water and peanut butter and crackers-lots of can food n my well water is alread here- just need a genarator. All what i did for the last 3 years is not going to work. to many things can go wrong. I been buying guns n lots of ammo what good is that if im inside -locked in. As im building this -every day i say to my self. this is no to live. Why put your self through all this ???

  17. I would like to have one, But it takes money and I don’t have any.Well when it takes all you get to live then your just a poor sob that has to put up with what happens and you have to pray hope that some ignort A.H. don’t shoot you by ass i dent.

  18. A bunker is nothing but a death trap. It would cost millions to build a secure bunker, and if the military wanted in you couldn’t stop them. This is a fantasy like most TV. Sorry but true!

    • Bunkers are meant to be used for 6 weeks to 6 months, not years. If you build your bunker in a secret location it will take anyone at least that long to even find it, if ever!
Having a place to go with shelter against the weather, and damn near anything else
that comes your way, short of the govt. (which I don’t think is a fear for most people),
is a lot better idea then making an ignorant blanket statement like ” A bunker is nothing but a death trap” and praying for the best…
If the defacation does hit the oscillation, it will be people like you who failed to prepare
that we will be defending ourselves from. Personally, I would love a bunker door between my family and all the people like you…

  19. Lol when the world ends maybey God will clean this messy Planet up of all the people cuttin down trees we are killing our home Um Earth yes is our home quit fighting and unite dumbass people get a clue LOL duh

  20. Thats why don’t believe in religion. fills your head with bullsh1t. the universe does not evolve around man. so the world is not going to end becus one stupid book says so. dumbsh1ts

    • I feel sorry for you that you are so deceived by the enemy. While no one knows the time the Son of Man will return we will know the season. We are living in the last days of the Bible. Get right with God.

Dear Friends, this year will end with no one to survive it. GOD is actually coming back and no man can HIDE from his wrath except for those that do HIS will. Bunkers or no bunkers, none can save humankind. Everything happening, disasters, is beyond the physical realm. I want you all to view it from the spiritual realm.
I don’t know if you read your Bible(Revelations) to see the sign of end of the world? Infact mountains will vanish and things inside the earth(ground) will be spitted out.
Dear Friends, GOD’s coming should be prepared for by repentance and doing HIS will. None of us shall make it to HELL.

  23. I love seeing people make millions off of idiots. IF the world ends there isn’t a thing we can do, and most likely you don’t want to be here when the world is uninhabitable. I see it as yet another way for big wigs to scare consumers into giving them their money, which in case you forgot, moneys no good when your dead.

  24. That’s like digging a luxury grave :p , spend all that money on orphans or elderly you might get a bunker in heaven :). .. ur bunker might save to die another day say 2019 :p , and that poor guy Scott how dose he know his bunkers will survive dooms day ? They haven’t bin tested ? :p let’s say they bin test then again what’s gona happen on that day is still not known what if your bunker drown 50 meter underwater ? Or a large crack opens up under it :p

    • What if the dollar fails and there is mass inflation, gasoline is $37.50 a gallon, food rationing is the norm, and they are running out of that, what then?
A bunker would be nice, and six months of stored food would be even nicer! You
will be the first to give up and die in any disaster, your post makes that clear.
But there will be others who are strong and willing to do anything to survive.
It doesn’t have to be doomsday for the use of a bunker…

  25. Hi Scott I watch the show and like the stuff you do and think you do a great service I am a welder and a truck driver and if you could ever use me as one or the other or both please contact me thank you

your bunkers are nothing more than tombs, for those foolish enough to think that they will protect them.

    • Bunkers have protected thousands of people from bombing in WWII. Pretty much every govt. in the world has bunkers. Your statement is just ignorant. I mean, sure
a bunker won’t stand a direct hit from an a-bomb, but I doubt anyone is going
to launch an a-bomb on Joe Shmos bunker.
It’s kind of hard to attack a bunker that you don’t know exists. I don’t know to many people who build bunkers then broadcast it’s location.
Likewise, I have never heard of a modern private bunker becoming a “tomb” for
anyone! But since you believe it, it must be so.

  27. the mayans didn’t leave a date on the calender, they indicated the number of years and days so the Leap year thing doesn’t matter cause WE figure it in when we translate it. meaning the 2012 date is what WE have predicted based on the Mayan calender. the date is accurate, leap year has been figured in by us.

  28. kane brennan | March 14, 2012 at 9:17 pm | Reply

the mayans didnt count for a leap year as they didnt know it existed and wasnt discovered untill ceasar so the world should of ended almost a year ago to mayan calender

  29. So the mayans never accounted for leap years as far as I know. The date would actually be past december 2012 today if we didn’t account for this. So technically this means that 2012 wouldn’t happen? I kinda believe in 2012 but my friend told me that and I kinda think its valid…

How do you protect bunker families air intake system from being gassed from the outside?

    • It has a stand alone Filtration system and if you hide your intake well enough no one or thing can “block” it up

    • How do you hide the intake? I some bushes? what other options are there for hiding the intake?

Scott, saw the first show of Deep earth bunkers and liked what I saw. If i may make a couple of suggestions on your door 1. What about sandwiching a couple of one inch thick ceramic tile between the steel sheeting, this would absorb bullet penetration. and 2. instead of making a standard door, think out of the box and consider a sliding door with anywhere from 3 to 12 inches of steel wall around it, as in a pocket door.
Keep up the great work Scott, looking forward to future shows. Ray Kyweriga

    • Lynn Barton | March 15, 2012 at 9:15 pm |

How about using a safe door? Could that work?

    • Adding ceramic plates to these doors would probably increase the cost of them tremendously. You also have to consider weight when reinforcing the doors with more steel.
