Peter Frampton Guitar Found

It was a long time ago back in 1980 when Peter Frampton’s 1954 Gibson Les Paul guitar was lost in a fiery plane crash. The plane crashed in Venezuela and the Frampton tour had their equipment on the plane and all was reported to be lost & destroyed.

Now, 32 years later, the Peter Frampton guitar has been found and was revealed on stage in Peter Frampton performance. The concert was called Peter Frampton Comes Alive Les Paul Making Comeback. The event was held at the Beacon Theater in New York City.

We were able to find footage released from this concert that was on Saturday, February 18th, 2012. There are a series of three videos that show Peter Frampton playing his guitar that was found and restored by Gibson Les Paul. The three songs you’ll be able to watch being performed by Peter Frampton are Don’t Need No Doctor (featured Julian Frampton), Jumpin Jack Flash Jam and Wind of Change.

In addition to those videos we’ll be presenting a video of Peter Frampton being presented his guitar after it had been restored. The video was released by PFramptonWeb on YouTube and has seen nearly 20,289 views. In the video Mr. Frampton opens the guitar out of a protected sealed case and reveals, “It’s the guitar!”
