Miranda Lambert’s new album, “Four the Record” hit stores Tuesday November 1, 2011. Miranda Lambert describes this album different from her last album “Revolution” and she took a chance with pushing into new boundaries. Her new album includes songs like; “Baggage Claim,” “Fastest Girl in Town,” “Dear Diamond,” and “Safe.”
Miranda, 27 years old said in an interview with Reuters:
“There was no possible way I could remake ‘Revolution,’ which did such amazing things for my career, including a Grammy for best female country performance with “The House That Built Me.”
“I feel like I have grown as an artist because I didn’t go into the studio with a theme in mind. All I thought about was ‘may the best songs win.’ I just wanted to have fun making this album, and I did.”
Her third album, “Revolution” had the hit songs that include, “The House that Built Me,” “White Liar,” Only Prettier,” and earlier albums that have set her apart from other singers. With songs that have a straight forward hell bent attitude like “Kerosene,” “Gunpowder and Lead,” or “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.”
Miranda Lambert’s new album “Four the Record” will show her softer side and reflect on her relationship and marriage with Blake Shelton, 35 years old. She tells Reuters:
“It kind of feels like it’s time to move in that direction professionally.”
The newlywed couple duets “Better in the Long Run” on her new album and says, “the tune is not the love song that people might expect from newlyweds.”
Miranda Lambert says her and Blake Shelton’s favorite thing to do when they are in their Oklahoma home is to sit on the porch and listen to music.
Miranda Lambert is nominated for female vocalist of the year and musical event of the year with Loretta Lynn and Sheryl Crow for the Country Music Association on November 9, 2011. While Blake Shelton has seven nominations.
She describes the feeling she has for those nominations:
“I’m so thrilled to be nominated but I feel like I want to sit back and watch Blake take in the glory that is so long overdue. I’m excited to be his wife and be there to be supportive.”
You can find Miranda Lambert on tour starting on January 12, 2012 with Chris Young and Jerrod Niemann. She will also be performing three shows with her new group Pistol Annies in December.
