Ron Paul YouTube Channel Shutdown Due To Copyright Infringement

Ron Paul YouTube Channel Banned
If you try and go to one of the famous Ron Paul YouTube channels: http://www.youtube.com/user/RonPaul2008dotcom you will receive a message that says, “RonPaul2008dotcom has been terminated because we received multiple third-party claims of copyright infringement regarding material the user posted.” It seems the Ron Paul channel had collected thousands of videos of Ron Paul appearances, speeches and more in this channel.

It seems that this account is not directly run or owned by the Ron Paul 2012 Campaign, “Restore America Now.” The channel was run by Ron Paul fans and often aggregated network TV appearances from news interviews and coverage from network Tv. It’s suprising the thousands of videos had lasted this long without DMCA requests directly to YouTube officials.

The Ron Paul campaign has yet to acknowledge this famous Ron Paul YouTube channel was shutdown or that they have any concerns about it. Users on the other hand at websites like The Daily Paul & Ron Paul Forums are incredibly upset and trying to figure out what they need to do to get the channel reinstated.

One post on DailyPaul.com is titled: The Largest Ron Paul Channel on YouTube…Removed?! It goes on to say, “RonPaul2008dotcom Has always been my source for watching video’s from current to years back. Having thousands of videos, millions of views, and hundred’s of thousands of subscribers.. Youtube has decided to shut the account down……. To all those who added videos, to it.. Thank you… But, Youtube, must be trying to censor ron paul even more…… IM SO P***ED THOUSANDS OF VIDEOS GONE!!!!”

The removal of this social footprint could be a blow to the Ron Paul 2012 campaign if the numbers quoted above are true. With hundreds of thousands of subscribers there are definitely some users that will lose communication with the Ron Paul political campaign right when the Presidental 2012 race is heating up.

Some of the more popular comments from the forum address the current YouTube Ron Paul Channel banning:

“Interestingly Google (employees) are one of the largest donors to Ron Paul, maybe they won’t be so happy about this either.”

“Although this was a great channel, it wasn’t the YouTube channel for the Ron Paul campaign. It was from a Ron Paul supporter. The campaign’s channel is youtube.com/ronpaul”

We’re posting some of popular Ron Paul videos below. Let us know if there is one we should add.

Please tell us in the comments what you think about the takedown of the Ron Paul unofficial channel.

Ron Paul wins Iowa

Sixteen weeks after Iowans hit the polls to vote for their GOP nominee, Ron Paul has officially been named the winner of the pivotal state. Initially Mitt Romney was declared the victor, and then later Rick Santorum, but it turns out now that the Texas congressman has claimed the most delegates. Paul has also won over the delegates in Minnesota. Mary Willison, volunteer organizer and Ron Paul supporter, joins us for more on the victories.

Ron Paul: A New Hope

Congressman Ron Paul is the leading advocate for freedom in our nation’s capital. As a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, Dr. Paul tirelessly works for limited constitutional government, low taxes, free markets, and a return to sound monetary policies. He is known among his congressional colleagues and his constituents for his consistent voting record. Dr. Paul never votes for legislation unless the proposed measure is expressly authorized by the Constitution. In the words of former Treasury Secretary William Simon, Dr. Paul is the “one exception to the Gang of 535″ on Capitol Hill. He makes it clear that his principles will never be compromised, and they never are.”

Well of course it is an attack on Ron Paul. It s not conspiracy its just fact. Look how he was treated by media.. blacking him out.. WHY? Because of the message.. it is so anti system and anti establishment, they are scared.

  2. Well, that’s silly. All that is going to happen now is that the same videos will be uploaded again on youtube at rapid speed under hundreds of accounts.

Trying to bully a voluntary group of Ron Paul messengers with negligible copyright infringement, a group that already feels like they are being silenced, will only make them & other groups respond back even more aggressively.

If you take any popular video down because of that, expect it to be uploaded 10-100 more times within 24 hours.

  3. Ringo says:

LOL at all the Paulbot conspiracy nuts.

  4. Dan says:

I’ve seen many videos on other YouTube channels that I was surprised were not taken down due to them containing television network content – the difference? They clearly posted on all the videos that it was used under the terms of “fair use” and for educational purposes. Not a fail safe by any means, but it must be working in some cases. The content of the videos were also clearly in the ballpark of educational or fair use.

  5. Ron says:

The trick would be to start FreeTube…

  6. […] and millions of views later, many Ron Paul supporters claim this is another exampleof Ron Paul being censored. One post on DailyPaul.com is titled: The Largest Ron Paul Channel on YouTube…Removed?! It goes […]

  7. Jerry Bingham says:

This certainly appears to be censorship against the Ron Paul campaign. If it is CNBC who is responsible, what could they possibly gain in filing charges other than trying to promote Romney? The freedom of speech isn’t as free as people might think. I have just lost all confidence in YouTube as being a non-partial source of information based on what I’ve just .witnessed. I learned long ago if you like a video on youtube then down load it because it may not be there tomorrow. I use keepvid.com it is easy.

  9. Joseph Burke says:

So You Tube wants to join the list of those censoring Ron Paul, well how about this You Tube: I will censor my watching of You Tube altogether. Sell that to your advertisers. Bite Me

    • inspector spacetime says:

yes, because youtube is going to lose a massive amount of money if you stopped going to youtube. mind = blown.

  10. Mike says:

It’s only a matter of time before Paul supporters are rounded up and put in FEMA camps. I can;t wait!!!!

    • Louwhan says:

Mike, do you know what will happen to you if Ron Paul wins? Absolutely NOTHING except that you might have to work for a living.

    • Steve says:

Mike, what an absolutely irresponsible and ignorant thing to say. Had you lived in Germany during Hitler’s years, you probably would have said the same thing about “those pesky Jews”.

    Ron Paul 2012!

  12. urallinsane says:

Youtube has been censoring anti-establishment outlets for a long time. It’s not always that they take the videos or channels off the site, but more that they censor the numbers of views. I think most of us know now that nearly every media outlet, online or other, are run by the same republicrats that run everything. Obamney is what they push. The question is, are enough people awake to make any difference. It’s obvious that not enough in the republican party have their heads out of their bums. It’s a shame, but it looks like the majority of America truly is hypnotized by their tv/radio media demagogues, and we are going to continue electing leaders that will change nothing. If so, I can’t wait for the collapse that should’ve happened before the bailouts. We probably would already have recovered if we’d let the fake money system fall then. Any which way, I’d like to thank the severely retarded American public for helping me to solidify my decision to leave with my kiddos. They don’t deserve this debt and ruined dollar to pay it back with. Have fun with this mess you idiots.

  13. FIFY says:

The removal of this social footprint could be a blowback to the establishment campaign if the numbers quoted above are true.

  14. Just another patriot says:

    It’s too late.

The end has already begun for the donklephant (the supposed “2 party system”) establishment.

Weather or not Dr. Paul wins the nomination is of no consequence. The Paul campaign and it’s supporters are like Navy Seal Team 6 vs the local PTA. We are infinitely more organized, motivated and educated about the election process. We are winning delegates at an exponential rate. We will not compromise on our values when it comes to the convention.

Our message is liberty. The message is infectious and once infected it is terminal. Once a Ron Paul / Rand Paul / Liberty convert we will NEVER switch back. We, just like the special forces are “force multipliers” we “infect” those around us with the message of liberty and those infected go forth and infect more. The establishment can play it’s games and squeeze Ron Paul out of this election, but we have Rand Paul a young man cut from the same cloth that has a VERY VERY long political life ahead of him who we will support in exactly that same way as we have Dr. Paul.

So you see establishment, it’s already over. The liberty infection takes hold at the very nature of all Americans and human beings…there is but one cure and that is to remove our chains and we are picking the locks right now.

way to copy and paste from somwhere else loser

    • Onfire says:

Justin, what does it matter if it’s a copy and paste? We all share the same sentiment. Whomever originally posted this echoes the voice of the Ron Paul Revolution.

  15. BlowtheBridge says:

CNBC was the claimant. This was a direct assault on Ron Paul with hundreds of claims of (c) violations.

Might be time to start playing dirty

  16. KJ says:

by the way, I am sure the campaign had nothing to do with this. Supporters use Ron’s stuff all the time.

  17. KJ says:

Actually, that WAS the official channel for the 2008 campaign which was let lapse accidentally and someone else snatched it and wouldn’t give it back as I understand.

However, it did have good stuff.

  18. anon says:

Romney owns many of the media outlets named… hmmm.

    • Joe Burke says:

If You Tube wants to Join the ranks of those censoring Ron Paul then I for one will no longer watch any of You Tubes offerings. Sell that to your advertisers.
