UFO Over Olympics 2012 Spotted During Opening Ceremony Fireworks

OFO over Olympics

During the Olympics opening ceremony, amidst the fireworks and various pyrotechnic displays, there was one unplanned for spectacle making its way across the sky.

Many speculate that the orb floating in the sky above the ceremony stage was in fact a U.F.O. It had the classic marks of an otherworldly aircraft: saucer-shaped, dome in the middle, metallic. Last month, according to PressTV, former Ministry of Defense UFO desk officer, Nick Pope, said that the London Olympic Games was the perfect setting for extraterrestrial beings to show themselves. “With the summer of mass events, we are all on high alert for terrorism. But we must also cast our eyes further afield and be prepared for even the most seemingly unfathomable,” Pope said.

Pope goes on to say that “If aliens have studied our psychology, they may choose to appear in our skies on a significant date – the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games is one date being widely circulated by conspiracy groups.” Apparently, the opening ceremony appearance was just a practice run?

MrScipher (his username on YouTube), noticed the object and caught it on video, posting it to YouTube. As the video circulated the internet and conspiracies amassed, conflicting explanations arose in the media in an attempt to quiet alien hysteria.

A spokesperson for Goodyear accounted for the bizarre flying thing by saying that it was in fact a blimp with the lights turned off. Goodyear did not want to interfere with the brilliance of the opening ceremony. He also explained the lack of visible advertisements and logos was because the blimp was on a “private hire.”

If Goodyear’s aim was not to cause a stir or take away from the opening ceremonies thunder, their goal was not reached. They did, however, give conspiracy theorists some amazing fodder for an alien take-over of earth.

Before the ceremonies, Goodyear released a statement saying, “We’re very excited and honoured to be providing a bird’s eye view of this phenomenal sporting event. As Goodyear is not an official sponsor of the Olympics, the blimp will fly unbranded for the duration of the games.”

Has anyone done an in depth analysis of this video? I would think an expert with the right equipment would be able to determine if it is a blimp. If he, or they, can not determine that, then it will probably remain unidentified, a UFO. And that’s the real trouble with videos and pics, they don’t supply enough data to determine what they are. They always remain UFOs, vulnerable to skeptics and debunkers.
