Charlie Brown and his friends are making a come back on the big screen for Peanuts 65th Anniversary in 2015.
The new Peanuts movie is scheduled to be released in theaters November 25, 2015. That year will mark the 65th anniversary of the “Peanuts” comic strip and the 50th anniversary of “A Charlie Brown Christmas,” the first of the Charlie Brown TV specials.
The agreement to produce came between 20th Century Fox Animation and its Blue Sky Studios. The new Peanuts film will be directed by Steve Martino (Dr. Seuss’ Horton Hears a Who!, Ice Age: Continental Drift), from a screenplay by Craig Schulz (Charles Schulz’s son) and the writing team of Bryan Schulz (Charles Schulz’s grandson) and Cornelius Uliano.
