Kindle Fire Price Drop

Cyber Monday see’s as much traffic as Black Friday, especially for those who don’t like to face the crowds.  In a CBS News report, it’s expected for Cyber Monday sales to jump 20 percent from 2011.  Amazon is like a one-stop shop if you need to buy multiple gifts for different people on your Christmas list.

Amazon will be offering week-long savings, as well as some great Cyber Monday deals for you to take a look at.

Amazon has dropped the price for the Kindle Fire on Cyber Monday. What normally costs around $160, Amazon is offering the Kindle Fire for a low cost of $129 on Cyber Monday. In order to receive this great deal, you need to enter the promotional code ‘FIREDEAL’ at checkout, while supplies last.

Once Amazon released the update about the Kindle Fire Tablet going on sale, the pre-orders that occurred between September 28 and November 15 drove the Kindle Fire to become the record selling unit on Amazon.

The Kindle Fire features a 7-inch display and a 1.2Ghz processors as well as 1GB of RAM. The tablet runs a modified version of Android with a special Kindle user interface. The tablet includes 8GB of on board storage and unlimited cloud storage for all Amazon content. Users can use the apps in the Amazon App Store, but there is no official access to the Google Play Store.

The Kindle Fire is in the top tablets for kids choice as it includes FreeTime, a feature that limits children’s usage of the tablet, down to specific activities. It helps give parents a peace of mind when it comes to their children using the tablet. Parents can create a profile for each of their children and choose what books, apps, games and videos they want to give their kids access to. Kindle FreeTime is free on the new Kindle Fire.

When kids use Kindle FreeTime, it’s like they have their very own, personalized tablet. The background color and fonts change to a kid-friendly design. They only see the titles that they have access to see. The home screen carousel shows their recently viewed titles. And, they can even navigate visually to content based on characters or topics – for example “Cinderella,” “Dinosaurs,” or “Puppies.”

The Kindle Fire also allows up to 9 hours of reading, surfing the web on Wi-Fi, watching video, or listening to music. Battery life will vary based on device settings, usage, and other factors such as web browsing and downloading content.

One thing to take note of if you are wanting to purchase this great Cyber Monday deal from Amazon, is the coupon is limited to one discount per customer and the offer is not valid with 1-Click ordering.
