During the Wednesday morning service at Creflo Dollar Church, Floyd Palmer, a former employee of World Changers Church International in College Park, Georgia, opened fire.
“He walked in calmly, opened fire, and left as calmly,” Fulton County Police Cpl. Kay Lester said.
The church’s well-known founder and leader, the Rev. Creflo Dollar, was not there at the time.
He had resigned from the church in August for personal reasons and had been charged with attempted murder in the past. In 2004 he pleaded guilty to assault charges and was deemed “not criminally responsible” and was committed, according to Maryland court records. Other records indicate that shooting occurred in 2001.
