Chipotle restaurants will be offering 50% off their Burritos by the Box during the Superbowl 2012 against the New York Giants and New England Patriots.
On February 5, 2012 during the 2012 Superbowl game against the Giants and Patriots you will be able to get your Chipotle order for half off when you order 6 or more burritos. Simply use the Chipotle Burritos by the Box order options and pick them up during the Superbowl game of 2012. The order will come with chips, salsa, guacamole and of course, the burrito.
The regular price for Chipotle restaurant burrito by the box option is normally $8.60 per burrito, but this Superbowl special will discount it to $4.30 per burrito. They do have a limit of only 100 burritos at half price per person. Also, the other fine print includes, if you plan to order more than 50 burritos from Chipotle, you have to put your order in 24 hours in advance.
Chipotle spokesperson Chris Arnold told the Huffington Post, “Quite simply, it’s not a licensed NFL Super Bowl promotion. So we wanted to build a promotion that would make sense and that our customers would find interesting in light of this cultural phenomenon that is happening on February 5th. But because it isn’t an NFL-sponsored event, we can’t use the term ‘Super Bowl.’”
Instead of using the copyrighted term SuperBowl, Chipotle wrote out the ad like this: “The Super Big Internationally Televised Professional Football Bowl Game- Half Price Party in a Box”
So, if you are having a Superbowl party and need to feed a large group on a budget, you might want to check your local Chipotle to see if they are honoring this SuperBowl promotion.
