It’s being reported that Eli Manning is dead, but the fact is, he’s not.
As with most celebrity deaths, it’s a hoax. Unless it’s being covered nationwide on all channels and news outlets, you can probably bet the story is fake and made up.
Here’s the story being made up about the death of Eli Manning:
State Highway Patrol is reporting that Pro Football Player Eli Manning was found unresponsive in a 2009 Cadillac Escalade early this morning at a New York highway rest area. 911 emergency services were dispatched to the rest area where he was found and CPR was administered, but the athlete failed to regain consciousness.
It is unknown how long Eli Manning was at the rest area before being noticed, and the cause of death is not know at this time as this story is still developing. Updates will be provided as information becomes available.
The problem with the Internet sometimes is that people don’t check the sources. If you don’t check sources, that’s when someone can get caught up into an Internet scam.
On that particular website with the Eli Manning death hoax, on the bottom it states that the story is not factual. It reads: “This story was dynamically generated using a generic ‘template’ and is not factual. Any reference to specific individuals has been 100% fabricated by web site visitors who have created fake stories by entering a name into a blank ‘non-specific’ template for the purpose of entertainment.”
Robert Marzano says, “Eli Manning is not DEAD!!! It was all a hoax!!!”
That’s why it’s always important to check sources before believing such a huge story.
If Eli Manning was dead, it would be all over Sports Center, the NFL Network, ESPN, Twitter, and Yahoo. If Eli Manning died, then the whole sports world would be shell shocked. ESPN would cover it more than Lebron!
