It was only in November of 2011 that Demi Moore announced her divorce to Ahston Kutcher through the Associated Press. Her statement read, “As a woman, a mother and a wife, there are certain values and vows that I hold sacred, and it is in this spirit that I have chosen to move forward with my life.” Just a couple months after that announcement Demi Moore was rushed to the hospital after an epileptic seizure.
While there was some confusion as to what had caused Demi’s seizure many are attributing the seizure that started the 911 call to dramatic weight loss that could be a more serious eating disorder like anorexia. The seizure was also tightly related to a reported heavy amount of nitrous oxide that Demi and a friend were doing.
The Mercury News & TMZ reported that Demi was doing a whip-it and fell into semiconsciousness and seizure symptons started to show. At this point the 911 call was placed at 10:45pm Jan 23rd, 2012 at 10:45pm Monday night and paramedics responded to the Los Angeles home of Demi Moore. It seems that it was this episode of substance abuse that landed Demi in the hospital.
Demi’s rep is telling the press that, “Because of the stresses in her life right now, Demi has chosen to seek professional assistance to treat her exhaustion and improve her overall health. She looks forward to getting well and is grateful for the support of her family and friends.” It seems that the husband that Demi Moore filed for divorce with hasn’t really responded to the incident. TMZ does report that Ashton has been partying away since Demi was admitted to the hospital.
