Blue Ivy Carter and Beyoncé were spotted out on the town in New York City shopping at Bergdorf Goodman.
Usually, when Beyonce leaves home, she has Blue Ivy covered with a blanket to shield her face from paparazzi, but not this time. A rare photo was taken of Blue Ivy Carter on Wednesday when the two were shopping.
There’s no doubt that Blue Ivy has become a spitting image of her mom, Beyonce and dad, Jay-Z. Blue Ivy was wearing a floral print top with coral pants. While Beyonce was wearing a bright tribal graphic-print romper. As usual, Beyoncé was also wearing her big hoop earrings that she’s known for. She did however step out with something new, her headful of blond braids. Something that is suspected she copied off her younger sister. Solange who was spotted earlier this summer with black waist-length braids in her hair.
While Blue Ivy makes public appearances almost daily, this is the first time in six months that her face has been spotted full on.
Beyoncé gave birth to Blue Ivy Carter in January 2012. She and Jay-Z named Blue Ivy Carter for the meaning behind Jay-Z’s “Blueprint” album and Beyoncé’s latest album and favorite number “4″ (Ivy can be translated to the roman numerals of four, IV).
On Beyoncé’s personal blog, she released an intimate video of her in the Croatian Island Hvar by a blue ivy tree. In that video she hints about her daughters name, Blue Ivy Carter meaning. When she filmed the video it was the first and only time the public was ever able to see her bare pregnant belly in a bikini. The famous video has earned the celebrity infant honorary citizenship of the town of Hvar.
Mayor Pjerino Bebic of Hvar said in a letter to the couple, “The story of the origin of the name of your daughter has brought enormous media attention and therefore tourist promotion to the town and island of Hvar. Because of this, I have decided to confer on your daughter the status of honorary citizen of the town of Hvar.”
